Unless its a 5 bar field gate, we recommend not having a timber gate any wider than 1.8m. But if you have a special request, please contact us and we can see what we can do. Metal gates can be manufactured to be a lot wider.

Some gate sizes are available 'Off the shelf' so can be installed as quickly as our current lead time permits. Made to measure gates tend to take around 4-5 weeks to be made and treated.

Unless you have chosen a Hardwood gate which will require staining each year, our Redwood softwood gates come pressure treated so don't normally need any additional treatment, over the life span of the gate. If you want to paint the gate to match the aesthetics of your garden, we recommend that you contact a dedicated paint supplier or DIY store for professional advice on which product to use.

We offer a 15 year workmanship guarantee on all our work and gates is no exception. The ever changing Great British climate can play havoc with almost any gate. We do our best to mitigate any future issues at the point of installation. But if there is ever a problem, let us know straight away and we will look to correct any issue in a timely manner. All of our gates are supplied with heavy duty galvanised, hinges, latches and slide bolts unless otherwise specified.
